We can use the continental grip for beginners, and the semi-western grip for more advanced players.

As soon as you detect the lob, immediately step back with your
right foot and turn your entire body to the side relative to the net.
While turning, raise your arms into a modified service position and
bring the racket head back, upward. Lift your left hand as if you
were going to catch the ball. Depending on your skill level, your
right hand has two options:

Raise your arm, hit, and follow through with the movement. Keep
your eyes, chin, and left arm elevated for as long as possible to
maintain balance. Naturally, as you stay balanced, raise your left
arm when the racket head is behind your body and lower it as it
starts to swing through the air.

Quickly regain a good position relative to the net and prepare for
the next ball. It’s not always necessary to jump for a smash, and
it’s often preferable to keep both feet on the ground.
